Often leaders do get the vision (why) right, but the how and when wrong. Then they mess up the why. When we are captivated by the dream, we can “push” both the timing and the people and we end up moving past the timing and working the Spirit. Once you know the why or what (what you are supposed to do, the calling or vision) the next step is to look for the same move of God in others and in the essential resources (the how and when). If those are lagging behind, it could be that the Lord is at work and has shared with you what He is doing, but the process is in the early stages and yet to be fully pursued. Leaders have to learn to process the second steps of how and when just as significantly as what and why.
