It is not uncommon for me to hear the Lord speak to me. Jesus said, “My sheep hear my voice…” Obviously He has a voice, and that voice can be heard. Sometimes it comes in scripture reading. Other times in prayer. And then there are times when Jesus just seems to speak.
July 30, I created extra time to meet with my Lord. I began writing in my journal and wrote 3 sentences. Then the Lord spoke, “I am pleased with your pursuit!” With my schedule crazy and my emotions running dry, I chose to create extra time to be with the Lord as a way of pursuing His heart. He saw my heart and celebrated my choice!!!
Even now, 3 days later, my eyes fill with tears that the Lord of all creation would speak that word of joy to me. “I am pleased with your pursuit.” How amazing! He loves me. Sees me. Cares for me. And my choice of an early AM meeting with Him brought joy to Him and then He to me!
People often hear the Lord correcting. I just hope some day you will hear words like, “I am pleased with your pursuit.” His celebration of me, His delight in my heart still brings tears. As the Word says, there is no God like our God, rich in love and powerful in word and deed.
