God’s gift to us of “calling” has been wired into us from creation! It has been overseen through the various terrain of our lives and through the threats, closed doors and mountains that stand in our way. That reality, that we have a calling overseen by the Most High God, is paramount to our passion, our determination, our self esteem and our view of life and people.
When you have calling, people are not in the way and people are not the problem. When you have calling and live in that calling, shortage of resource is clearly a God challenge. He will somehow provide what we need in fulfillment of that calling. When you live out of your calling, keeping your calling in full view in your own heart and mind, you can then live in hope in the face of fearful moments. When you live out your calling, you can live in joy, looking past any threats to what the Lord is doing in you and through you. When you live in calling, you needn’t “fight” people or view people as threats, but rather live out the challenge to pray for your enemies.
Calling is a gift and a trust. It is a trust as it calls us past ourselves. It is a gift as it empowers us to live in hope and determination; shifting challenges to opportunities for the Lord to move either the challenge or move us to new levels of thinking and growth.
You must remember your calling (Colossians 1:16, “all things were made by Him and for His purpose…” including you!). You must rehearse it in your mind. You must hold it lightly as a gift to you, a trust of the Lord to you.
Your calling is God’s gift to you, a gift that alters your past, present and future if you receive the gift!
