Living in the Passage of Prayer

Every day we can enter the amazing reality of God’s goodness and greatness.  It is accessible through prayer and through the Word.  The Word is an entry point to how the Lord blesses, moves, turns challenges into places of praise, restores our inner thoughts and shuts down the voice of the enemy.

Yesterday I experienced some challenging news.  I chose to pray.  The other option was worry, and we know how that turns out.  I prayed and then prayed again.  I chose to enact the call that in my anxiety to make my request known to the Lord (Philippians 4:6).  One way He answered was to remind me of a word He had spoken to me months ago, some specific directions.  When that word came to mind I chose to hold it, to meditate on it, and allow it to feed hope and insight to my moment.

How sad when we have access to the Kingdom that we find ourselves too busy, too tired, or too anxious to leave the crazy of the world we live in and enter the world that is real, the world where the Lord is real, close, caring and powerful.  The prophets spoke this word over the people of Israel all the time.  That spoken word to those in exile was an offer of hope, an opportunity to look through the moment and into the future He holds.

I am so thankful for my Lord.  I lived the passage of prayer vs anxiety and He showed up. Hope you will step into the Kingdom today and out of the crazy that swirls around you and threatens your peace!!
