The work continues! Along the way to significant leadership and our destiny, we have a few tests to pass. One is our willingness to hear the Word of the Lord and to obey, even when it is painful, even when it is humbling, even when it is embarrassing, even when it is a sacrifice and costly. Without passing this test, no leader is ready for significant impact. This test reveals whether we understand that destiny is actually the Lord’s dream or our own. This test is a test of submission for a lifetime, a pattern of following the Lord in every setting. As with most of the inner work, we can hide our insubordination for a season. However, to fully gain the trust of the Lord, to be placed in significant positions of impact, this one cannot be overlooked.
